The Blog's Purpose

Hi there,

Let me tell you what you will find in this blog. You will find reviews or rather my experiences with products and services I use, food I eat, shops I visit and places I stay. 

So you could ask me, what's different about your blog from the many other blogs floating around in blog-galaxy. Well, I'll give you just this one instance, when I bought this expensive tiffin box worth Rs.3000/- and didn't have a great experience with it. Around the same time I found a few bloggers raving about the same leaky tiffin box. Most reviews these days we find on online shopping sites are paid for. I want to create a space where I plan to keep my feedback short, simple and honest. 

That's all this is. A simple, honest blog.

Sampoorn Santhe- Back to Nature, at Kalakshetra

I have always been curious when it comes to exhibitions. I need to step inside and look at all the wares on display. When I spotted the yellow banner of Sampoorn Santhe, I couldn't contain myself from going in, inspite of feeling a little under the weather. Just a quick look, I promised myself . This is not a review, but a crisp information photo walk.  The Sampoorn Santhe revolves around the "Back to Nature" theme and is at the spacious Kalakshetra Foundation. You will find car parking in their main campus which is right across the road. It is on until this weekend (15th October 2017), open from 10 am to 8 pm. There is no entry fee charged.  I must confess this is just a partial representation of all the lovely things they have to offer. A stay at the Palacete Rodriquez, Anjuna, Goa

Hi,  This is a guest post from a friend. I am sharing this for two reasons. 1) It's a review of a hotel which apparently had good ratings and reviews online which is why they made a booking in the first place 2) It's insanely funny. So, let's give the gentleman a say.  The Palacete Rodriquez, Anjuna, Goa "Pros - Has two very cute ginger kittens Cons - Horrible rooms, zero maintenance, got bedbug bites all over after sleeping for an hour. The room smelled like they hid a corpse in the closet. My friend and I fell ill after using the swimming pool. I am sure the towels were donated during World war I. The Air conditioner is like a mantelpiece. The water heater isn't supposed to serve hot water. Indus Valley civilization had better plumbing. The lights flicker more than all horror movies combined. Vaya Tyffyn review

Vaya Tyffyn - Pretty but leaks!  I stumbled upon the Vaya Tyffyn box on Facebook. Curious to know more, as I was looking to convert my husband to using steel lunch boxes instead of the ubiquitous Tupperware, I checked their page. The website advertised, among other features, leak-proof lids and that clinched the deal to buy the heavily expensive tyffyn box. The tyffyn box was delivered on time and the copper finish was pretty! The bag that comes along with the tyffyn box can be unzipped into a mat, and space has been thoughtfully provided to keep your spoon/fork.  My husband carried his brand new tyffyn to work, and later at lunch to his dismay, he found that the contents had leaked out of the supposedly leak proof container lids. What was intended to be a luxurious experience from a tyffyn box turned out to be a messy affair.
